skeujin SG my phone went for a swim. brot it to the service centre in bugis for consultation. they told me it would take 2 weeks to get a reply on the outcome. after about over 3 weeks and repeated calls i couldnt event find out my problem till i started using vulgarities n threats. finally someone called me n told me it would cost me over $500 to repair the unit to change the screen n motherboard. which was pointless so i said no n i wana collect it back which they said another dept will call me back. this took another week n about 3 more calls w vulgarities n threats. after all this i was still charged a bundle for the friggin consultation best of all i brot my damaged unit to VN while i was on holiday. i left it at their local hp shop n got it repaired in 2days for oni less then sgd$50. no changing of screen or motherboard. just a reformat. honestly i love the phones n pda from O2 but unless they greatly revamp their local business ethics. i will nvr get another O2 ever.
silvercap SG I had read some reviews saying this phone always hang, automatic restart...., it's that true? btw what is VN?
skeujin SG the phone that went swimming was n O2 atom pure. i had no problems with it for almost 2yrs. oni had to do a minor systems upgrade to make the phone faster. the programme was readily available on their website and easy to execute. before i upgraded i had the old O2 handphone, i cnt remember the model but if im not wrong its the 1st ever model on the market. that also did not have any technical faults and was dam rugged as i dropped it over a dozen times and nvr had a fault in watsoever way. anyways judging by popular trends. nvr go for the 1st gen of any model or make of hp. most of the times there will be bugs. VN = Vietnam.
AndrewPKYap SG buy a touch screen only model... I never use the keyboard and it takes up so much bulk...
Rockhound SG Using the HTC touch now...and i really prefer the zinc...its very nice...although bulky.. sd card slot is very accessible compared to my Touch....and processor seems to be better too..Intel processor i think...pretty good la...with the qwerty keyboard.. service support for any PDA phone company in singapore is substandard arh...although i like the standby set that HTC offers should the owners fone be sent for repairs or servicing..dunno if O2 offers it.. i'd exchange my Touch for the Zinc anytime... go to Pocket PC SG ... these are where all the Pocket PC geeks are..they can give u awesome reviews and tips should anything go wrong with your set i'd also try looking into HP IPAQ HW6965 Its a set worth looking into
Rockhound SG try to get both... my Touch had a screen problem and it caused alot of grief...at least have ureself a backup should anything go wrong..
de_middle SG o2.....using atom life, it sucked big time on WM5, recently upgraded to WM6 & it fine now. Dunno if WM6 is available for zinc, WM5 cannot make it
